Felt brown semi-product for the production of a hat. The semi-product is of a bell-like shape, the top is round, widening downwards. By means of forms and hatmaking techniques finished products – hats – used to be made from such semi-products.

An archaic type of hat with a turned up brim which used to be called krisak/grisak, from grisa – brim in Spiš. Such hats used to be part of everyday and festive traditional male clothing in Central Spiš roughly until the beginning of the 20th century, or the interwar period, respectively.

This wedding feather is made of nine rosemary twigs fixed by thin wires. In equal distances, in the downward direction, there are small multicoloured „roses“ on the twigs, made of purchased ribbons. The bottom part of the feather is set into a kind of tunnel by which it used to be fixed to the hat and there is also a wide purple ribbon with a red-green acant ornament. The feather used to be fixed to the hat – grisak, while the ribbon was hanging over the hat brim towards the back.
